Blue Bikes Are Free Today: National Bike To Work Day
It's true, in the name of National Bike to Work Day, the folks at Blue Bike (formerly Hubway) are giving away free rides.

BOSTON, MA — This morning hundreds of people on bikes descended on city hall plaza in the name of Bike to Work Day. There they were met with free stuff - from High Brew Coffee to T-shirts and water bottles.
From 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Boston’s City Hall Plaza there's free breakfast, music, and exhibits from the local cycling community. Find the BlueBikes tent to get a free t-shirt, sunglasses, and breakfast.
The transition from Hubway to "Blue Bikes" is now officially underway, with the first batch of new bikes rolling onto streets last week. Goodbye green, hello blue. And folks interested in taking the new bikes (with new features) should look for a special freebie on the app.

To celebrate the launch of Blue Bikes and National Bike to Work Day, Blue Cross will sponsor a "Free Ride Day" on Friday, May 18, to encourage new users to take the bikes for a free spin. To participate, open the Blue Bikes app on a mobile device and select "Free Day Pass."
