Boston-Bound JetBlue Flight Diverted After Hitting Bird
The plane had to turn back and make an emergency landing.

BOSTON, MA — It was less than 10-15 minutes into the JetBlue flight from Buffalo to Boston when the pilot announced the plane would have to head back to Buffalo for an emergency landing Thursday morning.
"I heard a loud engine noise on the pilot's side of the plane (the side I was seated). We didn’t feel anything and the plane didn’t shake," one passenger, Jessica Murszewski, told Patch in a social media message.
She said it was surprising that she didn't actually see what happened, when she found out later a bird, likely a seagull, had been sucked into the engine. After they were back safe on the ground Murszewski said crews told her the incident cracked the engine blades.
