After Building Collapse In Brighton, 1 Rushed To Hospital
Six people were reportedly trapped inside, but made it out safely. But one person on the sidewalk had injuries described as critical.
BOSTON, MA — Two people were injured and one was rushed to the hospital after the front of Common Ground Bar & Grill and Kimchi Papi on Harvard Avenue collapsed onto the sidewalk. Photos show massive chunks of cement covering the sidewalk in front of the restaurants.
Just before 3 p.m. someone called police to report a building collapsed at 75-85 Harvard Ave in Brighton. Boston firefighters said everyone inside the building were safely evacuated. Dispatch reports indicated at least one of the two people were taken to the hospital with injuries described as critical.
Adam Gaffin of Universal Hub tweeted that six people trapped inside, but not injured and firefighters were able to get them out throug the back of the building.

Police blocked off Harvard Avenue in Brighton as technical rescue crews responded, as the 4 p.m. hour approached Technical Rescue Companies were assessing the damage and Eversource and National Grid were on scene, according to fire officials. Watch for serious traffic delays in the area.
Christopher Arena was driving by shortly after police blocked off the street and said he saw at least one person on a stretcher.
