Boston Flight Forced To Land In Missouri For 'Unruly' Passenger
A Boston flight had to be diverted to Kansas City because an passenger got verbally abusive and apparently wouldn't stop doing pull-ups.

BOSTON, MA — A flight headed to Boston was diverted to Kansas City International Airport Monday night and finally landed in Boston Tuesday morning because of an unruly passenger on Monday night, airport officials said.
Ross Feinstein a spokesman for American Airlines told Patch flight number 2763 from Phoenix to Boston landed in Missouri at 7:44 p.m. and was "Diverted due to an unruly passenger."
Law enforcement removed the passenger once in Missouri and the flight that was supposed to land in Boston at 11:26 p.m. re-departed for Boston and arrived at 1:09 a.m.

Witnesses told WBZ that the disruptive passenger appeared to be intoxicated and at one point was doing pull-ups on the overhead luggage compartments.
“The flight attendant probably asked him three or four times to sit down and he refused to sit down and then he really got verbally abusive with her, starting calling her names,“ passenger David Markoski told WBZ.

American Airlines said they don't keep track of how many times their flights have to be diverted because of "unruly" passengers.
A spokeswoman for the Kansas City FBI office, which responds when flights are diverted, said there were no arrests and no charges filed at this time.
