BOSTON, MA - Boston Public Schools will be closed Friday, Feb. 5, in anticipation of snow, the City of Boston announced.
A winter storm watch was issued earlier Thursday for parts of Massachusetts, including Boston. Up to 8 inches could blanket the city.
“With expected accumulations of four to eight inches over the next 22 hours, we are acting out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our residents, especially our children,” Mayor Martin J. Walsh said in a statement.
