Boston Shooting: Police Kill Gunman After He Allegedly Refuses to Drop Weapon
No officers were hurt. Two other men were already shot as police arrived to a reported shooting, Police Commissioner William B. Evans said.

BOSTON, MA - An armed man was killed in a firefight with with Boston Police after refusing to drop his weapon Friday morning in Dorchester, Police Commissioner William B. Evans said.
No officers were hurt, but two other men were already shot when officers arrived to a reported shooting, Evans said.
Police responded to a call of a shooting at 107 Devon St. When they arrived they saw two men on Laredo Street, one having been shot in the leg and the other propping him up, Evans said.

Police told one of the men with a gun to drop it, Evans said. The suspect then allegedly pointed the gun at the officers, and the officers fatally shot him.
“Nobody likes to take a life,” Evans said. “But if you are pointing a gun at one of our officers, we are going to protect ourselves and neutralize the threat.’’

The two men were believed to have been leaving 107 Devon St., where a third man was found shot multiple times.
