Fentanyl, Cocaine, And Cash Recovered During Boston Arrest

BOSTON, MA — A Roxbury man is facing multiple drug trafficking charges after Boston Police recovered fentanyl, crack cocaine and more than $1,300 in cash Thursday afternoon.

Steven Poillucci, 32, was arrested at approximately 4:45 p.m. after officers assigned to the citywide Neighborhood Engagement Safety Team responded to the area of 112 Southampton St. following a 911 call reporting a man believed to have a large quantity of drugs. Police were also told the man was allegedly attempting to sell drugs.

Officers located Poillucci near Island and Gerard streets and reportedly saw a large amount of cash in the front pocket of his sweatshirt as they approached him.

Officers reportedly recovered plastic bags containing fentanyl and crack cocaine from Poillucci's shorts, along with a bag of K2 synthetic marijuana from his bag. Police said the drugs were determined to include 28 grams of crack cocaine and 24 grams of fentanyl.

The department also seized a black digital scale and $1,386 in cash, according to police.

Poillucci was taken into custody and is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court on charges of trafficking cocaine between 18 and 36 grams, trafficking fentanyl between 18 and 26 grams, and possession with intent to distribute a Class C substance.
