Boston's Accent Is Second-Sexiest In America, For Some Reason

BOSTON — We're not sure if these people have ever heard a Boston accent outside a Mark Wahlberg movie, but our way of speaking makes for the second-sexiest accent in America. That's according to bigseventravel.com, which conducted a poll of its 1.5 million social media followers.

Regardless of the poll's legitimacy, all that matters is Boston beat that irritable irresistible third-place New York accent. The southern drawl of Texas was the No. 1 sexiest.

"One of America’s most imitated and parodied accents, Boston almost comes out on top of the country’s sexiest accents," the website said. "And yes, just like Mahhhhk Wahlberg, locals really do say 'pahk yuh cahr in hahvuhd yahd'."

OK, obviously these people have no friggin' idea what they're talking about, kid. Fah real.
