BOSTON, MA — A boy was hospitalized after being shot while walking through his living room in Mattapan Sunday, according to a police report obtained by Patch.
The boy was walking in his living room on Cummins Highway when he was struck on the left lower leg by stray gunfire that came through the window at around 8:22 p.m., according to the Boston Police Department report.
Emergency medical services responded to the scene and the boy was taken to the hospital, authorities said.

Police told NBC10 Boston that the boy's injuries were not life-threatening and no arrests have been made.
The Boston Herald reported that the boy is 12 years old. His age was not confirmed in the police report, though authorities said he is a juvenile.
