BOSTON, MA — Because of fire department activity from Friday's 9-alarm fire in East Boston, the MBTA's Blue Line service will continue to be replaced by shuttle buses between the Logan Airport and Wonderland stations until further notice.

In the inbound direction, replacement buses will serve all Blue Line stations between Wonderland and Airport stations. In the outbound direction, buses are serving all stations with the exception of Suffolk Downs because of ongoing fire department activity.

The MBTA is in the process of pumping out water in the track bed and vehicle yards near Orient Heights. Once complete, the MBTA said it will assess any damage to signal, power, and track infrastructure, and decide if any repairs are needed and how long it will take to restore full service to the Blue Line.
