Visitors can make Freedom Quilt squares, participate in Civic Season activities, and enjoy a fun, welcoming way to learn something new together.
A guest speaker, Jason Gulai, Director of the Endicott Center for Civic Participation, with be present to lead a family-friendly conversation around civics, what it can look like to be an active member of society, and what our part looks like. There will be 2 sessions of this discussion at 4:15 PM &amp; 5:15 PM.

Founded in 2018 by violin virtuoso Etienne Gara, Delirium Musicum is a Los Angeles–based string ensemble that channels the artistic excellence, energy, and leadership of a new generation of musicians. Drawing inspiration from the city’s vibrant cultural mosaic and boundary-bending spirit, the ensemble forges a distinctive musical identity shaped by diversity, spontaneity, and bold artistic curiosity. Its members represent nine countries across four continents, and their programs juxtapose music from across eras and styles, creating performances that invite audiences into deeply human and immediate musical experiences.
Praised as “ferocious and rhythmically mesmerizing” by San Francisco Classical Voice, Delirium Musicum is widely recognized for its out-of-the-box programming and electrifying live performances. Los Angeles Times critic Mark Swed describes the group as “a step ahead, ready for anything—virtuosic and versatile.” Through concerts, tours, recordings, and multimedia projects, the ensemble reaches audiences of wide-ranging backgrounds and musical tastes.
Delirium Musicum’s debut album, Seasons, was released on Warner Classics in April 2023 to international acclaim. Critics across Europe praised the ensemble’s intensity, urgency, and ability to connect deeply with listeners, with Diapason noting the group’s energy and tension in its vivid interpretations. Recent projects include Treelogy, a three-part collaborative work with composers Billy Childs, Steven Mackey, and Gabriella Smith, commissioned by The Soraya and premiered in Los Angeles in 2023. Inspired by California’s Joshua trees, sequoias, and redwoods devastated by wildfires, the project was hailed by the Los Angeles Times as “a sublime, classical ode to California’s redwoods, sequoias and Joshua trees.”
Community engagement is central to Delirium Musicum’s mission. During the pandemic, Gara and violinist YuEun Kim launched MusiKaravan, traveling the West Coast in a 1971 VW bus to perform socially distanced concerts for diverse communities. The project evolved into an award-winning streaming series and continues today. The ensemble also presents Baby Concerts, developed with USC’s Brain and Creativity Institute, offering interactive musical experiences for infants, toddlers, and caregivers.

You don’t have to be a cooking expert to enjoy one of our events. We welcome people of all skill levels and interests to take part in our dumpling parties. Since we are focusing on fun and not precision and accuracy, this is the perfect, relaxed environment for friends, family, and loved ones.

Join Revolutionary Spaces on Thursday, July 2, for the Ruckus! First Look Encore. Be among the first to see <a href="https://revolutionaryspaces.org/explore/exhibits/ruckus/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Ruckus!</a>, a bold new 25-minute immersive show at the Old South Meeting House that drops you into the heart of Revolutionary Boston. Watch the debates and defiance that once filled this iconic space come to life using dynamic sound, dramatic lighting, and projected animations of fiery revolutionaries, determined citizens, and a few unlikely troublemakers whose courage shook these walls.
Celebrate America's 250th in the very place where ordinary people set extraordinary change in motion. Enjoy lively music, snack on summer-inspired fare and tasty drinks, and connect with fellow Boston locals. Doors open at 7:00 PM and the show begins at 8:00 PM. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before showtime to reserve your seat. To preserve the integrity of the experience, late entry will not be permitted once Ruckus! has started. Guests arriving after 8:00 PM will be admitted following the conclusion of the show.

JOSHUA BELL, violin With a career spanning nearly four decades, GRAMMY® Award–winning violinist Joshua Bell CBE is one of the most celebrated and influential artists of his era. He has performed with virtually every major orchestra in the world and maintains an extraordinarily active career as a soloist, recitalist, chamber musician, conductor, and Music Director of the Academy of St Martin in the Fields. In 2025, Bell was awarded an honorary Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) by King Charles III for services to music.
Highlights of Bell’s 2024–25 season include the release of two new albums: Thomas De Hartmann Rediscovered, featuring the world premiere recording of De Hartmann’s Violin Concerto with the INSO-Lviv Orchestra, and an album of Mendelssohn piano trios recorded with longtime collaborators Jeremy Denk and Steven Isserlis. An avid recitalist, Bell tours internationally and performs his popular Voice and the Violin program with soprano Larisa Martínez throughout North America. As a guest soloist, he appears with leading orchestras including the New York Philharmonic, Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, and Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, while also conducting and performing with major ensembles across Europe and the U.S.
Bell has served as Music Director of the Academy of St Martin in the Fields since 2011, following a relationship with the orchestra that dates back to 1986. His recordings with the Academy include GRAMMY®-nominated and chart-topping releases, and his contract has been extended through the 2027–28 season.
A champion of new music, Bell has commissioned and premiered works by John Corigliano, Edgar Meyer, Jessie Montgomery, Jennifer Higdon, Kevin Puts, and others. His GRAMMY®-winning recording of Nicholas Maw’s Violin Concerto is among many acclaimed releases for Sony Classical, with whom he has recorded more than forty albums.
Born in Bloomington, Indiana, Bell studied with Josef Gingold, debuted with the Philadelphia Orchestra at age 14, and made his Carnegie Hall debut at 17. He continues to inspire audiences worldwide through performances, recordings, education initiatives, and innovative collaborations across musical genres.
 LARISA MARTINEZ, soprano Internationally acclaimed soprano Larisa Martínez is widely recognized as one of the most compelling vocal artists of her generation. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, she is praised for her warm lyric coloratura voice, expressive musicianship, and captivating stage presence. Opera News lauded her portrayal of Rossini’s Corinna (Il viaggio a Reims), writing that “Ms. Martínez cut an elegant figure, her deportment on stage matching that of her singing.”
Ms. Martínez has appeared in leading operatic roles including Violetta (La Traviata) with Wichita Grand Opera, Sophie (Werther) alongside Piotr Beczala, and Maria (West Side Story) conducted by Lawrence Foster at Festival Napa Valley, sharing the stage with tenor Michael Fabiano. Her concert appearances include Mahler’s Symphonies Nos. 2 and 4, Mozart’s Requiem, Villa-Lobos’ Floresta do Amazonas, and performances presented by Renata Scotto in Rome, recorded for Euroclassics.
In 2019, Martínez made her Kennedy Center recital debut and her Carnegie Hall Stern Auditorium debut singing Mahler’s Resurrection Symphony. She created the role of Isaura in the world premiere of Mercadante’s Francesca da Rimini in Italy under Fabio Luisi and Pier Luigi Pizzi. That same year, she was invited to Cuba as part of President Barack Obama’s artistic delegation, appearing in the Emmy®-nominated PBS special Live from Lincoln Center: Seasons of Cuba.
