What’s It Like?
Do you wish you could have more of the kinds of conversations you have late at night where for some reason, you feel safe talking about the things you actually care about?
Bring your friends (or come by yourself) and spend your Monday night at an event where you know everyone else is there for the same reason.
We'll be offering "big talk" conversational prompts on them to get you started, and we'll have lots of structure to make sure that you actually talk to people and that it's not awkward. Not feeling like answering a particular question? No worries, we'll have plenty to choose from, like, "When are you the happiest?" and, "If you were going to become close friends with me, what would I need to know about you?" We'll give you ground rules to make sure you feel comfortable and safe sharing as much of yourself as possible while still feeling in complete control of how much you divulge.
There will be food and beer for sale!
Check-in for this event will begin around 6:15 pm. Please do your best to arrive before 6:30 pm so we can begin as close to on time as possible.
Skip the Small Talk is dedicated to providing an inclusive, welcoming environment for everyone. Check out our safety policy here: tinyurl.com/ststSafety

Most AI rollouts that disappoint small businesses start with that one assumption.
Treat AI like a tool, and you expect it to do the same job the same way every time. It doesn't work that way. That gap between expectation and reality is where wasted investments, missed expectations and frustrating rollouts come from. Get this right before you invest, and every decision after it gets easier.
That's the topic of our first free workshop, and the start of something we've wanted for a while: an AI users group for small businesses. It's a place to explore what AI can do for small businesses, share ideas and experiences, ask questions, and learn from each other as we go.
Expect no hard sales pitch. Each one-hour online session shares a practical AI tip you can act on, shows how it fits a business like yours, and opens the floor for discussion and your questions. And if what you hear encourages you to pursue next steps, we'll be happy to partner with you to ensure your success.
Online, free. Bring a question from your business.Register on Zoom: <a href="https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/bvse8SoBRgmYEfpEuhj1cg" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/bvse8SoBRgmYEfpEuhj1cg</a>

Join 1623 Studios for the premiere of the newest installment of its award-winning Timeline: Cape Ann documentary series, The Rockport Murder Mysteries. Based on the book Murder in Rockport, Massachusetts: Terror in a Small Town by Robert Fitzgibbon and Wayne Soini, the film explores one of Cape Ann’s most haunting unsolved crimes.
On May 21, 1932, Rockport tailor Arthur Oker was brutally murdered in his shop, shocking the quiet seaside community. Little more than a year later, another Rockport resident, Augusta Johnson, was murdered in her home. The two crimes sparked an extensive investigation that included searches throughout the town, thousands of interviews, and countless leads. Yet despite the extraordinary effort to find answers, both murders remain unsolved more than 90 years later.
Produced by 1623 Studios, The Rockport Murder Mysteries brings this fascinating chapter of local history to life through archival photographs and extensive historical research, revisiting the crimes that shook the Rockport community more than 90 years ago.
Following the screening, stay for a conversation with 1623 Studios producer Kory Curcuru and authors Robert Fitzgibbon and Wayne Soini, as they discuss the history behind the murders, the research that informed the book and documentary, and the process of bringing this remarkable local story to the screen.
Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit 1623 Studios and help support its mission to provide community media, local programming, and opportunities for people across Cape Ann to share their stories.
Program Length: Approximately 85 minutes, followed by a post-screening discussion. There will be no intermission.<a href="https://eventvesta.com/events/163243/t/tickets" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">View Tickets</a> &amp; More info
