BOSTON, MA — A second person — a child — has died weeks after being injured in a large fire in Boston earlier this month, according to multiple reports including NBC10 Boston that cite the Suffolk County District Attorney's office.

One man's life had already been claimed by the fire, which was reported in the early hours of April 2 in a multi-family building on Meridian Street and required several hours and more than 130 firefighters to knock down.

At least five more were taken to the hospital after being rescued, officials said at the time.
