The Boston Parks and Recreation Department and the Boston Public Health Commission (BPHC) have announced the 2021 Boston Parks Summer Fitness Series, sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. The series will offer 25 free weekly classes both virtually and in 18 City parks from June 6 to October 2. The Boston Parks Summer Fitness Series offers Bostonians healthy activities, including Vinyasa Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Chair Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Barre, Dance Fit, HIIT, Family Fitness, Cardio and Core, ZUMBA, Family ZUMBA, Salsa Dancing, Fusion Fit, Strength Training, Cardio Dance, and Carnival Fit. The program is tailored to the interests of residents and participants, including a full spectrum of age-friendly classes for families to older adults as well as options for those new to fitness classes.
