HELLO, DOLLY!

North Shore Music Theatre, Beverly, MA

March, 2024, Andover, MA: Boston's North End is known for its wealth of historic landmarks, charming streets, and, of course, delicious Italian cuisine. Among the bustling array of restaurants and pastry shops in this vibrant neighborhood, there are hidden gems that serve both the heart and the stomach through their support of Voices of Hope’s upcoming production of Hello Dolly!, a benefit performance for cancer research.

Voices of Hope (VOH) is a remarkable not-for-profit organization comprising over 150 dedicated volunteers who share a passion for the performing arts and a commitment to finding a cure for cancer. Since its inception in 2009, VOH has made significant contributions to cancer research, now exceeding one million dollars.
In the lead-up to Voices of Hope’s two-day run of HELLO, DOLLY! this April, one of their members, Paul Amoroso, Jr., secured the new support of several North End establishments who agreed to help sponsor this production. To show its appreciation, VOH sent an impressive posse to thank the sponsors in person!

VOH extends special thanks and recognition to these generous establishments for their support of HELLO DOLLY! through program book advertisements and gift certificates for the pre-show auction!
“The Santarpio family, along with Roseanna and Nick Varano of Strega, Angelo and Joe Papa of Mike’s Pastry, Fabio DiCenso of Bencotto, and Chris Salerno of Volare are all new benefactors of Voices of Hope,” said VOH Founder and President Greg Chastain. “Their generous contributions will make a real difference in the lives of patients receiving care at the Mass General Cancer Center and we are grateful for their support.”

Santarpio’s Pizza:
This beloved local pizzeria is known for its crispy thin-crust pies and friendly atmosphere. The Santarpio family has been a pillar of the East Boston community for generations, and their commitment to giving back shines through in their support of charitable organizations like Voices of Hope.



Strega:
Roseanna and Nick Varano, the owners of Strega, are proud supporters of Voices of Hope. Known for its upscale Italian cuisine and elegant ambiance, Strega is a favorite dining spot for locals and tourists alike. The Varano siblings understand the importance of giving back to the community and have been actively involved in various charitable initiatives over the years.


Bencotto North End Boston:
Fabio DiCenso of Bencotto is another proud supporter of Voices of Hope. The open kitchen and lavish fare draw patrons to dine amid a cozy, casual setting. Their food and service are matched by their philanthropy.


Mike's Pastry:
Angelo and Joe Papa, are the owners of Mike's Pastry, an establishment synonymous with sweet treats and delectable desserts in the North End. Their iconic cannolis and pastries have become a must-try for anyone visiting the neighborhood. By joining hands with Voices of Hope, the Papas are not only satisfying sweet cravings but also making a positive impact in the community.



Volare:
Chris Salerno, the owner of Volare in Revere, is another passionate supporter of Voices of Hope. Volare's menu features classic Italian fare with a modern twist, and It has gained a reputation for its innovative dishes and warm hospitality. By partnering with Voices of Hope, Chris is using his platform to spread awareness and support for important causes in the community.

This support of Voices of Hope goes beyond serving delicious food—it is a testament to the power of unity and compassion. By patronizing these establishments, you’ll be treating your taste buds to a culinary delight, and you’ll also be helping us make cancer history one song at a time.
Proceeds from HELLO, DOLLY! benefit the Termeer Center for Targeted Therapies at MGH Cancer Center. This production will mark the organization’s hard-earned goal to donate ONE MILLION DOLLARS to local cancer research, contributing to the ever-growing source of treatment options that continue to give hope to our vision of a cancer-free world.
