Deliveryman Tumbles Down Omni Parker House Coal Chute: Report
The man fell about 20 feet when a plate covering the sidewalk gave way, according to WCVB.
BOSTON, MA — A deliveryman plunged 20 feet down into an Omni Parker House hotel coal chute Friday morning, WCVB reported.
The man was making a 7 a.m. delivery when a plate covering the sidewalk outside the School Street hotel gave way and the man fell into the chute, according to the network.
"Members of the Boston Fire Department were able to safely extract the victim, who was conscious and alert, per WCVB, which noted the man was "taken to a local hospital to be treated," but the "extent of (his) injuries was not disclosed.
