Human Remains Found In Shirley Pond, Foul Play Suspected: Police
A group of young people walking in the area of the Maritime Veterans Memorial Bridge alerted the law to the human remains, police said.
SHIRLEY, MA — Human remains were discovered in a Shirley pond and foul play is suspected in the death, police said.
A "group of young people" spotted "what appeared to be something consistent with a body part" in Phoenix pond as they were walking in the area of Maritime Veterans Memorial Bridge about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday and alerted the law, the Shirley Police Department said in a social media post.
"Based upon the preliminary information, foul play is suspected," the post said.
