Did The Green Line Just Get Hit By Lightening? [Video]
Looks like there were some extra sparks in Cleveland Circle during the storm. So some folks were asking that question.

BRIGHTON, MA — It appears the storm that just pushed through Boston hit the Green Line hard. But maybe not that hard.
Jared Raymond captured video of flashes of light, and some bangs near the wires above the Green Line in Cleveland Circle just after 9 p.m. Then the train abruptly stops moving.
The MBTA told Patch the cause of the sparks was under investigation, but no one was hurt and the train was out of service when the sparking happened.

Someone asked the man who captured the video if the train was hit by lightening, his response "I think so? A few bangs and flashes preceded that one."
MBTA employees say what happened is actually just what happens often and was probably not lightening hitting the train. Sparks fly at certain spots along the track above the T where the wires connect and disconnect. But it sure did look cool.

As of 9:30 p.m. no delays were noted on the MBTA website. Most likely because, well, that's just normal.
