Discover to Give Nearly $180,000 to Boston Public Schools
The grant will fund the implementation of financial education programs into schools.

BOSTON, MA - Discover Financial Services has announced it has awarded close to $180,000 in grant money to Boston Public Schools.
The grant will be used to fund financial education programs in 30 public high schools in Boston. It has been awarded as part of Discover's five-year Pathway to Financial Success program, which aims to implement financial literacy courses in public schools across the United States.
"In order for our students to be successful after they graduate they will need to know how to navigate the financial landscape they will encounter in their everyday experiences,” Boston Public Schools Superintendent Tommy Chang said in a statement. "This grant will provide our students with a course on financial literacy that will go a long way toward helping them gain the skills necessary for their adult lives.”
