Get $100 For A Gun At Boston Buyback Event
Just in time for holiday shopping, Boston police will trade cash for guns — no questions asked.
BOSTON, MA — Here's a quick way to get some cash for holiday shopping: sell your old gun to Boston police.
The department will host a daylong gun buyback event Saturday at locations around the city. The department will give $100 to anyone who trades in a gun, no questions asked. Anyone who returns a gun can remain anonymous.
The gun buyback is part of an effort to reduce gun violence in the Boston area overall.

The buyback runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at these locations:
- New Life Restoration Temple, 30-40 Centre Street, Dorchester
- Sacred Heart Church, 169 Cummings Parkway, Roslindale
- Salvation Army, 1500 Washington St., Boston
- Central Assembly of God Church, 50 Bennington St., East Boston
- Prince Hall Masonic Lodge, 24 Washington St., Dorchester
- McCormack Housing Development, 345 Old Colony Ave., South Boston
