Enthusiasts, including one who drove in from Belmont, said the spot feels safe and thrilling when the wind is right. Dozens took advantage of the wild conditions for high-speed runs across the water.

Jumbos Knock Off UMass Boston, Wentworth Saturday (gotuftsjumbos.com) — Tufts women's volleyball swept UMass Boston and Wentworth in a Saturday tri-match hosted in Boston, extending the Jumbos' winning streak to four. The Beacons fell in straight sets despite a strong effort, while Wentworth couldn't slow Tufts' balanced offense. Tufts now turns its attention to a NESCAC road match at Hamilton College on October 2.
