After an extensive renovation, the Goodwill Store in Davis Square reopened for shopping and donating on November 1. A grand reopening and ribbon cutting was held on November 13.
The reopening event was attended by Goodwill President and CEO Joanne Hilferty, Mayor Katjana Ballantyne, City Councilor Kristen Strezo, City Councilor Jake Wilson, City Councilor Wilfred Mbah as well as other members of the community.
Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries has been upgrading and rebranding its 14 stores across Massachusetts. Goodwill is a community-based nonprofit and has been a presence in Somerville since the 1950s and has been at its current location in Davis Square since 1990.
