Iguanas Make It Out Of Dorchester Fire Alive
A small apartment fire on Dorchester Ave. was quickly handled, something a couple of pets are grateful for.
BOSTON, MA — Firefighters quickly handled a fire in a Dorchester apartment Monday afternoon. They even saved a couple of pet iguanas to boot.
The Boston Fire Department said no one was home during the fire in the second-floor apartment at 1129 Dorchester Ave. There was about $10,000 in damage, but the two iguanas escaped unharmed. The fire department said they will stay with a neighbor until the apartment's resident can be notified.
