J. Keith Motley to Leave UMass Boston Chancellor Post
Motley, who has been chancellor since 2007, will take a sabbatical and return as a tenured faculty member.

BOSTON, MA — The University of Massachusetts at Boston will soon be in the market for a new chancellor.
The school announced Wednesday that J. Keith Motley will leave the post at the end of the school year. He has been chancellor since 2007 and leaves as the school faces financial problems, declining enrollment, and a $30 million deficit.
Motley's contract expired in January has not been renewed, according to the Boston Globe. He will return as a tenured faculty member following a sabbatical.
