Las Vegas Shooting: Boston Officials Take To Social Media

Sunday night's shooting is the largest mass shooting in the country. Officials took to social media to express condolences.

BOSTON, MA— Boston and state officials are taking to social media to express their condolences for the events that happened Sunday night in Las Vegas where, during a music festival, a gunman killed at least 50 people and injured more than 400 in the span of about two minutes, in the deadliest mass shooting in United States history.

The gunman, Stephen Paddock, 64, of Nevada was found dead in the Mandalay Bay hotel room where he took aim at the crowd, police are reporting.

Facebook has activated a crisis response page for people to check in and let family and friends know that they are safe. The Las Vegas police also encouraged family members looking for their loved ones to call them, rather than hospitals, which are slammed, for assistance: 1-866-535-5654.

"It was an act of pure evil," said President Donald Trump during the press conference, before commending the local police for their quick action. (Here's the live stream of that event).
