Loaded Gun Found On Bridgewater Man During Traffic Stop In Boston
A man from Bridgewater has been placed under arrest after Boston Police found a loaded firearm in his backseat during a traffic stop Friday.
ROXBURY, MA — Boston Police arrested Walter Lewis, 28, of Bridgewater early Friday morning after a traffic stop around Tremont Street and Northampton Street in Roxbury.
Police say they stopped the car for reckless operation and were removing him from the car when they saw the handle of a gun sticking out from the storage pocket behind the passenger seat.
Officers say they were able to place Lewis in custody without incident, recovering the loaded handgun.

Lewis is expected to appear in Roxbury District Court and is facing numerous charges including unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, carrying a loaded firearm, and reckless operation of a motor vehicle.
