MA State Trooper Accused Of Kicking Woman To Face Charges: Report

The trooper, who has been placed on leave, is accused of getting into a fight with a woman on Dec. 1 outside a bar in Boston.

BOSTON, MA — A State trooper is accused of kicking a woman so bad an a outside a Boston bar she went to the hospital earlier this month, NECN first reported.

Matthew Hickey, 30, is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in Dorchester Municipal Court on assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, according to NECN and other news outlets.

Hickey, who has since been reportedly placed on paid leave, is accused of getting into a fight with a woman on Dec. 1 at Dorset Hall in Dorchester, according to multiple reports.

Patch has sent multiple phone and email requests to the State Police requesting comment to confirm. The Suffolk County DA's office said they had no record of charges against a Matthew Hickey. Patch also reached out to Hickey’s defense attorney, Michael Doolin for comment.
