MA Weather Forecast: Strong Storms, Heavy Downpour
A special weather statement has been issued for intense storms sweeping across the state.

The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement from Worcester out to the coast, warning of extremely strong storms early Saturday evening. "Strong winds and very heavy rainfall" are the primary concerns. A hazardous weather outlook is in effect for all of Massachusetts (except the Berkshires) and Rhode Island.
Strong storms have begun in Worcester County. They will be moving east until about 7-8 p.m., running off the coast and making for rough waters.
While a special weather statement has been issued for the whole area, it is possible the storms stay more to the west and it's just a good helping of rain in the eastern part of the state. The I-95 area up the North Shore is a good bet to see storms.
