MA Weather: Thunderstorms Sweeping Through Tuesday
A hazardous weather outlook has been issued. See when to expect scattered storms and showers, as well as the possibly of some hail.

A brief interruption to this summer week may come in the form of hit-or-miss thunderstorms sweeping through the region Tuesday. Forecasters say scattered showers and storms could materialize along with potential hail and strong winds in the late afternoon into the evening. A hazardous weather outlook has been called in Massachusetts in advance of the storms.
The National Weather Service said at noon the most updated models show the storms weakening as they make their way east. You can see them begin breaking apart in the simulated radar below. The NWS said they may hold off until after 4 or 5 p.m. - and even until after sunset, presumably in places farther east.
[Midday Briefing] latest high resolution models indicate #Thunderstorms later this afternoon weaken as the activity exits the high terrain & enters the coastal plain of #MA #RI #CT. Beachgoers may want to be aware the next couple days of particularly strong rip currents as Hurricane Chris makes its way past the region. The system is expected to stay well offshore, really only impacting the waters and coastline.
