Maria Stephanos Joins WCVB Channel 5

BOSTON, MA - Maria Stephanos, the longtime Fox 25 talent who is one of the most recognizable names in Boston media, has joined WCVB Channel 5, according to a statement from WCVB.

Stephanos will begin this Thursday, when she will co-anchor the 7 and 11 evening news with Ed Harding. She will also co-anchor the 10 p.m. news on WCVB-owned MeTV Boston, according to the statement.

Stephanos, born in Groveland and educated at Emerson, spent nearly 18 years at Fox 25 before leaving in the fall.

“I’m thrilled to be back on local TV!” said Stephanos in the statement. “WCVB is my new home, and I couldn’t be prouder to be joining this team of dedicated and talented journalists.”
