Massachusetts has the best school system in America, according to a new report from personal finance website WalletHub. Standout scores in both quality and safety buoyed the Bay State's No. 1 ranking.
School systems across America were ranked across 29 measures of quality and safety. Massachusetts schools ranked above-average to exceptional in most categories.
Bay State students scored the highest in math and reading scores across the country, according to WalletHub. The state also tied for the lowest-percentage of high school students who were threatened and/or injured. Bullying, which is still an issue in the state, was fifth-lowest in Massachusetts.
