Massachusetts Weather Forecast: Late-Night Snow to Coat Much of State
It isn't expected to be as much as Monday's snow, which caused several communities to delay school openings and mucked up the commute.
Snow showers are expected to pass through Massachusetts late Tuesday night, coating much of the state in an inch or so of snow.
This round of snow isn't expected to be as much as Monday morning's modest amount, which caused several communities to delay school opening and ruined the commute. In fact, much of Southeastern Mass. and the Cape isn't even expected to see anything more than a few flakes.
But for interior Southern New England, which is almost all of the Bay State inside the coast, you'll be getting some snow. The snow is expected to make its way from the west into Central Mass around 8:30 or 9 p.m. and break into the MetroWest and Merrimack Valley areas closer to midnight. The snow should then hit Essex and Suffolk County as part of a wintry mix between midnight and 3 a.m.
