MBTA, Citing Workforce Shortage, Reduces Some Bus Service

BOSTON, MA — The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority announced Tuesday it is making changes to its schedule because of a workforce shortage.
About one of every 20 scheduled bus trips will be dropped, the MBTA said, while other routes will have more service.
"A number of routes will operate with increased frequency, some routes will operate with less frequency, and a few routes will operate with both increased and decreased frequency depending on the time of day,"the MBTA said in a news release. "There will also be changes to Silver Line service."

Route 111 will operate a new service pattern with all service to and from Woodlawn. Route 62 and Route 76 buses will come back into service on weekdays during rush hours.
