Boston Red Sox Add Millar, Youk & Mazz To New NESN Booth
Two World Series champions and the co-host of Boston's highest-rated radio show are joining the NESN booth this season.

BOSTON, MA — The Boston Red Sox television booth will be filled with a bunch of new faces this season as the New England Sports Network revamps its rotating announcing crew following the death of club legend Jerry Remy.
Former Red Sox ace and Cy Young Award-winning pitcher Dennis Eckersley will be back with lead play-by-play announcer Dave O'Brien in the main roles, with a rotating crew of former Sox champions and Sports Hub radio co-host Tony Massarotti also joining the broadcasts.
Fan favorites Kevin Millar and Kevin Youkilis, who were both on the 2004 team that broke the 86-year championship drought, are joining NESN as part-time color commentators. Youkilis was also on the 2007 World Series champions.

Massarotti said on WBZ-FM Tuesday afternoon that he expects to do between 30 and 40 games during the season — home and away — and that he will remain in his position as a co-host at the radio station.
NESN also said Tuesday that Jahmal Webster will return as the sideline reporter, while former Sox prospect Will Middlebrooks adds to the studio analyst crew, which also includes the returning Hall of Famer Jim Rice and former players Ellis Burks, Lenny DiNardo and Mo Vaughn, alongside longtime host Tom Caron.
Cohasset native Mike Monaco (play-by-play) and veteran NESN host Adam Pellerin (studio) will fill in at times with the broadcasts.
NESN said it will also spend the 2022 season honoring Remy, who died in October after repeated battles with lung cancer.
The Red Sox will play their spring training opener on Thursday at 1:05 p.m. with the season opener set for April 7 in New York against the Yankees. The home opener is April 15 against the Minnesota Twins.
