New Pop-Up Dental Clinic Offers Bostonians Teeth Cleanings At Work
FlossTime gives professionals the chance to have cleanings, exams, X-rays, and teeth whitening sessions right at work.

BOSTON, MA —Is your excuse for never going to the dentist that you can't take time off work? A Boston businessman recently launched a solution for professionals who want to maintain their dental health but can't seem to find the time.
Mike Laskowski is the president and co-founder of FlossTime, a new mobile dental clinic bringing fully-licensed doctors, dental assistants, and hygienists to Boston workplaces to allow corporate professionals and all their employees the chance to have their teeth cleaned right at work—avoiding traffic, parking fees, and unnecessary headaches.
"Being a working professional, our time is extremely important. Between a busy work schedule, kids, and life outside of the office, it can be an inconvenience to attend traditional dental cleanings," Laskowski told Patch. "For me, working an 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. schedule over the past few years has made it tough to get out of the office without having to utilize valuable PTO hours. With a service like FlossTime, I could have solved the issue of being inconvenienced throughout my work day by having the dentist come to me. People are all for convenience, and the type of service FlossTime provides makes it easier for the community of Boston to improve their oral healthcare."

The clinic mainly focuses on cleanings, exams, X-rays, and teeth whitening services, according to Laskowski. Patients who need major dental work are referred to FlossTime's local dental partner, Boston Dental, which has three offices throughout Boston. And since FlossTime bills the insurance company already part of employee benefits packages, it can provide its service at no additional cost to employers.
FlossTime targets mid-to-large-sized businesses, Laskowski explained, adding that the dental equipment can be fit "just about anywhere."

"All of our equipment is on wheels, and it makes it extremely easy to move it with ease if we need to adapt to different room sizes and shapes," according to Laskowski.
Boston Dental Director Dr. Maged el-Malecki said that the goal of its partnership with FlossTime is to "help deliver the highest quality aesthetic dental care to patients around the region," with Laskowski adding that he hopes the clinics allow Bostonians the chance to take better care of their oral health, which is "all too often skipped or overlooked."
"We are thrilled to flip that narrative and elevate employee oral health in Boston and surrounding regions," Laskowski added.
