Peter Pan, Greyhound Go Separate Ways

Springfield-based bus company Peter Pan said it will cut ties with Greyhound, ending a nearly 20-year partnership.

SPRINGFIELD, MA — Peter Pan announced it will cut ties with Greyhound, ending a nearly 20-year partnership between the bus travel behemoths. The partnership will end on Sept. 27, Peter Pan announced on its website Monday.

The Springfield-based company says the split will allow paperless boarding at every route, more express service throughout the Northeast, and more on-time service. It also promises the lowest fares available, but it's not exactly alone in making that claim.

Peter Pan and Greyhound coordinated ticket sales and routes since 1998.
