City and state health officials warn that people and pets, especially children and small dogs, face risks ranging from skin irritation to serious liver or neurological issues, and the advisory will stay in place until repeated testing shows safer levels.

Moped-towing Operation Continues In Boston (patch.com) — Boston residents are seeing stepped-up police crackdowns on unregistered and illegally operated mopeds and scooters, with seven mopeds towed and multiple citations and summonses issued in Downtown Boston this week. The operation is part of a broader series of enforcement efforts in neighborhoods including Roxbury, Dorchester, the South End, Fenway, and Back Bay, as state officials weigh new rules for micromobility devices. Police say similar operations will continue across the city.
   

3. 'What can you do with me? Arrest me?' Judge freezes Barbara Lynch's bank accounts in city tax lawsuit. (bostonglobe.com) — Boston officials have secured a preliminary court order freezing chef Barbara Lynch's bank accounts as they try to collect hundreds of thousands in unpaid personal property taxes tied to her now-closed Boston restaurants. The James Beard Award winner, once central to the Boston dining scene, says she has little money left while the city alleges she shielded or dissipated assets ahead of repayment.
   

4. Boston nonprofits empower youth through music, bikes and mentorship (wcvb.com) — Two Boston nonprofits, ZUMIX in East Boston and Bikes Not Bombs in Jamaica Plain, are giving local teens creative outlets and real-world skills through music, radio, bike repair, and apprenticeships. Their programs help young people build confidence, community, and pathways to future careers while staying rooted in Boston neighborhoods.
   

5. Toddler dead after going into deep water at Nara Park in Acton, grandmother critically injured trying to save him (bostonglobe.com) — A toddler who was pulled from deep water at Nara Park in Acton has died after being flown to a Boston hospital, and his grandmother remains in critical condition at another Boston facility. Authorities say the family appeared to be on a walk, not swimming, when the child likely veered toward slippery rocks, prompting the grandmother's rescue attempt and a desperate response from lifeguards and bystanders.
