Plane Makes Emergency Landing At Boston Logan

No one was injured. But it makes for rough travel day.

BOSTON — A Madrid-bound plane with about 265 people onboard was forced to make an emergency landing at Boston Logan late Tuesday night.

The plane made a safe landing and no injuries were reported. Early reports indicated the plane had engine trouble, which crews noticed about an hour and a half after takeoff from JFK in New York.

Iberia Airlines said it rebooked its passengers, with 54 travelers flying to Lisbon and Madrid from Boston. Some travelers were slated to head to New York via bus, where there are "more options to rebook them from there," This came as Boston Logan started to fill with people escaping the hurricane down south.

"Iberia regrets the inconveniences caused by this flight [diversion] and by the difficulties in finding accommodation or direct flights for the customers affected by it," the airline said in a statement. "Our teams in the US and Madrid are working to make possible that all the customers on board of IB6252 can fly today to their final destinations."
