Point32 Health Volunteers Assemble Braille Children's Books

Volunteers from Point32Health, the parent company of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and Tufts Health Plan, helped compile braille copies of two children’s books: 100 braille copies of Miss Nelson is Missing and 150 braille copies of Pete the Cat: Rocking in his New Shoes, in collaboration with Boston-based National Braille Press (NBP).

"We are incredibly grateful for the dedicated volunteers from Point32Health who have supported our mission for 18 consecutive years,” said Brian Mac Donald, President and CEO of National Braille Press. “Their commitment to assembling braille children’s books plays a vital role in helping us provide accessible reading materials to blind children. Our work would not be possible without the ongoing support of corporate partners and volunteers like them."

This activity was part of Point32Health’s annual Volunteer Week. This year, more than 1,300 colleagues served at more than 75 projects across five states.
