Student Killed in Dorchester Shooting Identified
The 17-year-old was shot steps from Jeremiah Burke High School in Dorchester.

Boston, MA - The teenager killed outside his Dorchester high school Wednesday has been identified by family as 17-year-old Raekwon Brown.
Police and other officials have not formally released the name, but Brown's mother identified her son to WHDH Thursday morning.
"He didn't deserve this," she told the station.

Known to his fellow students as "Ray," Brown died at the scene Wednesday - just outside Jeremiah Burke High School. He was a junior. Bullets also struck two other teenagers and a 67-year-old passerby, causing non-life threatening injuries.
Police are working to identify the shooter, urging the public to come forward with any information.

"We need the public to be outraged," Police Commissioner William Evans said at a press conference Wednesday. "Call us and get this thing solved. We can't let this happen in or around our schools."
