BOSTON - Two morning fires - one late, one early, displaced at least 29 people and caused nearly $3 million in damage, fire officials said. A firefighter's ankle and a cat needing oxygen were the only injuries reported.

A six-alarm fire that swallowed up three Dorchester three-deckers displaced at least 17 early Saturday morning. An estimated $2.5 million in damage was down to three buildings on Marie St. and another on Fox St.
