Ted Williams Tunnel Shut Down For Medical Emergency

The tunnel was shut down Thursday at around 8:15 a.m., officials said.

BOSTON, MA — The Ted Williams Tunnel in Boston has partially reopened after a brief shut down Thursday morning for a medical transport, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation said in a tweet.

MassDOT announced the entire tunnel's shutdown at 8:00 a.m. Officials announced at 9:13 a.m. that the westbound portion had reopened.
