Third, Fourth Teens Charged In Murder Of Boston Teen

The two allegedly kicked and beat Chad O'Connor before he was shot in the head in January.

BOSTON, MA — Two 17-year-olds were charged Monday with the murder of a Dorchester teen in a January group attack, Suffolk County District Dan Conley said. Malik Albert of Dorchester and Rodney Gamble of Lynn were arraigned in Dorchester Municipal Court for murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon - a shod foot. The teens allegedly kicked 17-year-old Chad O'Connor during the Jan. 14 attack on Kenwood Street that killed him.

Under Massachusetts law, everyone charged with murder is charged as an adult. Albert and Gamble were held without bail.

Prosecutors allege that Albert and Gamble, along with 18-year-olds Rishaard Sheppard and Branden Singleton-Legget, who were charged last month in the attack, beat and kicked O'Connor. Sheppard allegedly shot O'Connor in the head, killing him. Prosecutors said ballistics testing matches the gun recovered from Sheppard's home last month to evidence from the crime scene.
