Trillium Beer Garden To Return To Greenway

What's different from last year's inaugural run? Improved seating and more accommodating hours:

BOSTON, MA — For those of you who drink beer or like to sit out on the Greenway with friends who drink beer, the Trillium Beer Garden will return to the Greenway in late May.

It will be in the same spot and its slated to be open until October, the brewing company announced today.

The beer garden, which is part of a utilization project with the Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy, will be open five days a week, Wednesday through Sunday, and will serve a variety of draft beer as well as some wine from Westport Rivers Vineyards.

The Greenway spot was pretty popular last year and that contributed to the decision to welcome it back this year.

“Last year, the Trillium Garden on The Greenway was an unqualified success as Boston’s first open-air beer garden in a public park, and we are thrilled to again partner with such a great local brewery,” Executive Director of the Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy Jesse Brackenbury said in a press release.

Trillium brewery's co-owners say they're looking forward to round 2. “The Garden on The Greenway last summer was a first of its kind for us and the city of Boston. We are psyched for our second season,” said Trillium co-owner Esther Tetreault in the release. “Our goal has always been to build a strong community and share what we do.”

The Trillium Garden on The Greenway will again be found at High Street, across from Rowes Wharf.

Trillium opened in March 2013 with three employees and then took off as a bit of a cult favorite around town. Trillium aims to use local ingredients whenever possible.
