View Boston Launches Cocktail Survey for Boston's Iconic Marathon

In a spirited nod to the long-standing tradition of iconic cocktails tied to major sporting events, View Boston, the city’s preeminent observation deck experience, is calling upon Bostonians to participate in a survey to create a signature drink for the city’s annual marathon event. This initiative aims to unite the city’s creativity and passion for the race with an exciting, new beverage that symbolizes Boston’s rich history and commitment to the marathon.

“Boston has always been a city of tradition, innovation, and community and the marathon is a consistent staple that demonstrates how our city comes together,” said Mackenzie Finn, Senior Marketing Manager at View Boston. “The world’s most iconic sporting events have their own signature drinks, so why shouldn’t Boston? With this survey, we’re inviting all marathon goers to put their stamp on what we hope will become a Boston tradition, and join us in celebrating the runners as they cross the finish line on Boylston Street.”

The online survey will be live starting Monday, March 24 and will run through Monday, March 31, encouraging participants to suggest drink names, ingredients, and a unique story that ties the cocktail to the marathon experience. Whether it’s an homage to the city’s history, a tribute to marathon runners, or a refreshing taste that represents the city’s vibrancy, all ideas are welcome.
The selected signature drink will be unveiled in a special ceremony on Thursday, April 17 at View Boston. There will also be a mocktail version of the drink for those seeking a non-alcoholic option. The signature drink will then be available for purchase year-round at View Boston following the marathon.
