Watch Former Boston Student Nail Taylor Swift Song On 'The Voice'
Berklee College of Music graduate Lana Scott reached the season's top 20 after performing "Wildest Dreams."

Universal City, CA —Berklee College of Music graduate Lana Scott advanced to the top 20 on this season of NBC's "The Voice," after the judges chose her ahead of fellow contestant Carson Peters in an episode that aired Monday.
Scott sang Taylor Swift's song "Wildest Dreams," earning praise from the judges.
"I love the power that you had," judge John Legend told Scott during the show.

In a battle of country-tinged performances, Scott went head-to-head against Peters, who sang "Amarillo by Morning" by George Straight.
Judge Blake Shelton ultimately had to decide between Peters and Scott, and he chose Scott.

"Carson versus Lana is a heartbreaker for me," Shelton said. "Lana is an incredible country singer and my job here is to coach a vocalist to the finale."
To which Scott replied: "It's actually happening."
Scott is a Virginia native who studied vocal performance at Berklee, graduated in 2014 and accepted a spot as a singer on Carnival Cruise Lines, according to the school.
On its website, Berklee highlighted several former students who have performed on "The Voice," including: Ricky Duran, Mendeleyev Allan-Blitz, Brook Stephenson, Erika Zade, Courtney Harrell and Jackie Foster.
