From brunch in Fort Point to desserts that benefit a local charity, the following Boston-metro restaurants have something special planned to celebrate all mother-like figures on Sunday, May 13.

Oak & Rowan (Boston, MA)

Celebrate Mother’s Day this year at Oak & Rowan, which will open for dinner in addition to its weekly Sunday-only brunch service. Choose from a variety of savory dishes to kick off the day, from the classicEggs Benedict to the Lobster Gnocchi and flavorful Breakfast Torta. Those with a sweet tooth can try the decadent French Toast or indulge in a pastry (or two) from the roaming pastry cart. Reopening again at5PM for a rare Sunday supper, the Mother’s Day dinner offerings include Half Dozen Oysters and Caviar to start and popular entreés such as the Halibut, Duck and Bone-in Prime Beef Ribeye.

The Hourly Oyster House (Cambridge, MA)

Take mom to The Hourly Oyster House for a memorable meal on May 13th. Executive Chef Phil Lewis will be serving a variety of Mother’s Day specials, alongside the regular menu. Guests can try the House-smoked Salmon Benedict or the Poached Arctic Char before ending on a sweet note with the Raspberry Clafoutis and a glass of Rosé Sangria, one of the many standout cocktails made by Bar Manager Beth Hoselton. Lumière (West Newton, MA)

Head to Lumière this Mother’s Day for a hearty meal in a laid-back setting. Executive Chef/Owner Jordan Bailey has thoughtfully curated a prix-fixe menu to showcase a variety of fresh, spring ingredients that will take all pressures off of ordering. Treat mom to a glass or two of wine – choosing from favorites like a crisp springtime white or a Provencal rosé. Can’t make it for Mother’s Day? Dine-in or take-out from this neighborhood bistro any Tuesday or Wednesday night and try the newly-launched Family Meal. For only $60, this meal serves up to four (two adults and two children ages 12 and under) and is an easy, inexpensive alternative to any hectic, weekday dinner plan.

Branch Line (Watertown, MA)

This Mother’s Day, spend the day at Branch Line, the neighborhood rotisserie in the Watertown Arsenal, built on a foundation of personalized hospitality. In addition to their regular weekend menu, Branch Line is pulling out all the stops with brunch specials, including Smoked Salmon Toast (Avocado, Alfalfa Sprouts, Herbed Cream Cheese), Steak and Eggs (12 oz NY Strop, Sunchoke Hash, Bernaise) and Asparagus and Egg (Grilled Oyster Mushrooms, Dijon Vinaigrette). To pair, Wine Director Charlie Gaeta is focusing on sparkling wines from outside of Champagne, including a frizzante rosato from the Ruffino family in Punta Crena in Liguria. If the weather is nice, Branch Line’s sprawling patio is one of the city’s more dynamic venues for an open-air meal, complete with a bocce court and perennial garden.

Area Four (both South End & Kendall Square locations)

This Mother’s Day, Area Four is celebrating with Roses and Rosé. Highlighting all things pink, the beverage menu will feature a selection of rosés, available by the glass or in flights, and special pink cocktails, served both individually and in large format. Both Area Four Boston and Area Four Cambridge will be decorated with roses, and moms will be able to take a flower home to remember the meal.

Yvonne’s, RUKA, and Lolita Cocina & Tequila Bars (Boston, MA)

This year’s 19th annual Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer is especially important to longtime participant, Tom Berry, Culinary Director of COJE Management, as this year’s fundraiser is dedicated to the memory of his mother, Toni Berry. From May 7th–13th, guests to all COJE properties (Yvonne’s, RUKA and both Lolitas) are encouraged to indulge in a Boston Bakes designated dessert that’ll not only be sweet, but also give back to a great cause.
