Will it Get to 100 Degrees Today?: MA Weather Forecast
And will it cool off this weekend?

Another day, another Heat Advisory from the National Weather Service. And more scattered thunderstorms, it seems.
This summer's relentless heat attack isn't slowing down, with temperatures still rising well past 90 degrees all across Massachusetts Friday.
Temperatures themselves won't hit triple digits, but the heat index is expected to break 100 for the second straight day in many regions. The heat index takes into account the humidity as well as the temperatures, indicating more of a "real feel" number.

Friday is another scorcher, but also holds the probability of "hit-or-miss" thunderstorms, according to the NWS. The strongest probability for late afternoon/early evening storms are north of Boston, Southeastern Mass., and in the Worcester area. Rain should pass through just about the entire state by the early evening.

The wet stuff is welcome as nearly all of Massachusetts is in some level of a drought, even an "extreme" around the Merrimack Valley area.

The weekend will see some sort of cool-down. Saturday will likely see storms and morning storms and temperatures in the mid-70s (in Eastern Mass.) or mid-80s (in Western Mass.), but with exceptional humidity.
Sunday is set to much more dry, but with temperatures rebounding back up into the 90s.
