• Jack Balfour's hat trick powers Bourne/Mashpee into D4 Elite Eight (capecodtimes.com) — Bourne sports fans just watched a big moment, as Jack Balfour’s hat trick helped the Bourne/Mashpee co-op lacrosse team advance to the Division 4 Elite Eight in a home playoff game at Bourne High School. Photos capture key plays, clutch saves, and the energy on the field during Tuesday night’s Round of 16 win. 
• MA: Record numbers took the MBTA to Cape Cod last summer. An even busier summer may be ahead (masstransitmag.com) — Bourne residents can again catch the seasonal CapeFLYER train, which reaches town just after 7 p.m. on summer Fridays and also runs weekend mornings. The MBTA expects another busy season, keeping last year’s fares and schedules, with easy connections to Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority buses for car-free trips beyond Hyannis.
• The U.S. government is putting 2 Cape Cod bridges up for adoption — and you have 3 weeks to claim one (masslive.com) — Major changes are coming to the Bourne Bridge, which the federal government is now offering up for adoption before it’s replaced in a multibillion-dollar project. Any public or private group has until June 26 to propose relocating and reusing the aging Cape Cod Canal spans, while Massachusetts and federal officials continue lining up funding for their eventual demolition and replacement.
