2 Braintree Schools Listed In Top 100 MA Schools For 2020

Thayer Academy and CATS Academy Boston made it onto Niche's list of the top 100 schools in the state.

BRAINTREE, MA — Two Braintree schools were listed among the top 100 schools in Massachusetts. Niche.com released the list that includes both private and public elementary, middle and high schools. Thayer Academy and CATS Academy Boston both made the cut.

Whether a school finished first or 100th, there's not really a bad spot on the list. They all received A+ grades from Niche.

Thayer Academy, a private school for grades 5 through 12, was ranked 56th. The school has 700 students, with a of student/teacher ratio of 6 to 1. Thayer Academy students average an SAT score of 1280, and 100 percent of students go on to a four-year college after graduation, according to Niche.

Niche also ranked the school highly in the areas of best private high schools in the state, best high schools for STEM in the state and best college prep private high schools in the state.

Yearly tuition at Thayer Academy is $45,850.

CATS Academy Boston, a private boarding school for grades 9 through 12, ranked 88th. It has 420 students with a student-teacher ratio of 7 to 1. CATS Academy students average a score of 1280 and has a 100 percent graduation rate, according to Niche.

Niche also ranked the school highly in the areas of best boarding high schools in the state, best college prep private high schools in the state and best private schools in the state.

Yearly tuition at CATS Academy Boston is $37,290.
